Something I ran into this week, and searched the forum and didn't find anything related. By default some of the Windows 10 systems we support are not displaying standard document types in the Windows Explorer preview pane.
Basically, you have to add the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\Advanced\ShowPreviewHandlers

Seem to remember similar issues with Windows 8 when adding additional file handlers.
