+1I stopped putting Adobe Reader on computers a few years ago, Adobe no longer has the tight grip they had on the rights for PDF files, all modern browsers open and view PDF files fine, even Microsoft Word can open, create and save PDF files.
One less 3rd party app to worry about patching too!
Why would you want to use a program they've been trying (unsuccessfully) to secure for over 20 years?Adobe Reader.
Because Edge SUCKS MONKEY BALLS at reading PDFs that aren't letter or legal papersizes.
This. Not doing Adobe is fine until you have a lawyer. Then it is not reader but full Adobe Acrobat.Adobe Reader is still on every endpoint, patching is handled by winget and a script from my RMM.
Why? Because Edge SUCKS MONKEY BALLS at reading PDFs that aren't letter or legal papersizes. But also when you're dealing with compliance it's still the only reader that works with a bunch of the encryption features. Foxit does really well too, but it's not as easily updated via winget.
Not just lawyers, but anyone in construction.This. Not doing Adobe is fine until you have a lawyer. Then it is not reader but full Adobe Acrobat.
You mean like Windows or MS-Office?Why would you want to use a program they've been trying (unsuccessfully) to secure for over 20 years?
