Why the Computer Repair Business is Dead

The problem with the videos as well as the information is that every market is different, if you live in a small city in Maine your business may not do as well as a business in business is Southern California where population density is different. Also, customer service, your ability to market effectively, how you handle customers and what services you offer all play a huge role. Computer repair by itself may have slowed down as PC's and parts prices have dropped, but preventive work such as managed services, additional services such as website development, phone and tablet repair maintain strong markets. Residential and Business customers are different beasts, but you can offer your services to both and be vary successful. The market is constantly changing and new technologies need to be learned to continue working in this field. I plan on building my business in this field even if it looks grim! So much great information on this website.

For somebody who was hoping to get into the industry on mobile residential repairs, this is a bit of an eye opener! Especially as there are two bricks and mortar repair shops that do sales as well in my city (Carlisle). Will have to have a think how I can add more value to my business that doesn't yet exist over at least one bricks and mortar that's been around for 20 years.
