We have some various 15.4" WXGA 1280x800 LCDs removed from HP DV6000 laptops. All test satisfactorily using a single laptop. So, the question is, what difference does it make what the manufacturer of the screen is? I notice that LCD inverter sellers are careful to note that the inverters are for use with particular screens, despite the fact that the CCFL in each is probably the exact same. The ribbon cables seem to fit the same (although I should check to see if the connector is in the exact place).
I did notice that the Chunghwa screens had screw-holes on the top and bottom edges of the LCD for mounting brackets; the others don't have them. So, that is one obvious difference. Just curious if you guys know about others.
