As I was sitting down re-organizing the data on some of my flash drives, my wife looked over at my keyring of 6 flash drives and says, "Really? 6??? How much space is that total?!" I stopped to think and said, "well, I've got 80gigs in Flash drives.. and I was thinking of getting another 16gig drive tomorrow!"

a little ridiculous I know but I wanted to see where I stand with everyone else. add in your experience!

I have 3 flash drives, but rarely use them anymore. I moved everything over to a zalman enclosure with a 250 hard drive and haven't looked back. I do keep my 8GB drive with Windows installers in case I get a machine that can't power the external drive though.

i currently have

1 32GB flash drive
3 16GB flash drives
2 8GB flash drives
5 4GB Flash drives

and a wad of older drives under 4gbs

i mainly use the 32gb one for copying data off of client computers. the 2 16GB ones are for general use moving big files around etc.

i keep a complete encrypted backup of all my business records on the 2 8gb drives, one is in my parents safe deposit box at the bank, and i keep one hidden outside on our farm in a water proof match container. i rotate those two from time to time. go get the one outside and update it, then take it to bank to replace the one in the safe deposit box, bring it back and update it, take it outside.

i normally keep 2 of the 4gb drives setup as utillity drives that have all my tech tools on it. i keep the other two free for times when i need to configure a custom usb drive with special tools on it.

the rest of them i keep in a coffee mug on my desk for times i need to give someone a large file, im not overly concerned if i dont get the smaller ones back.

I guess I can post what mine are.

4 x 16gig (one has a bunch of ISO's of OS's for my VM's) (lol tons of acronyms in one sentence), one has all my files for working on clients pc's, another is used for large file transfer/back for clients, and the last one i just got recently and will be used for something... havent decided yet
1 x 8gig (Business data backup. sensitive files, website files, etc)
2 x 4gigs (keep one for users who want to buy one off me for their small docs or xbox live profiles, the other has the apps i prefer on my pc: chrome, firefox, openoffice, etc so i can install them on client's pc's if they want them or want training on them

2x4gb
1x8gb

I feel like I "need" more, but my sensible side knows that I just "want" more. I have around 10 used laptop drives at any given time. I just use one of these if I need more temporary storage...they're just not quite as convenient.

+1
I love my Zalman enclosure. Best purchase I made last year.

Edit - To answer the question, I have a holder on my keys that has an 8GB and 16GB drive, and a case with my laptop with 5 4GB drives and an USB wifi adapter.

I have several but I use my i-odd all the time now. Haven't used the usbs for over 2 months.

How would you compare this with the Zalman? I'm looking at purchasing the Zalman in the next day or so, but if I can get a little user input from the i-odd I might just change my mind.

Guys, I know that you're all going to be jealous...but I have a super awesome 128mb flash drive still floating around! (If I could find it, I have a 32mb one somewhere, too)

This bad boy is all of the storage I'll ever need in one compact little device! Bonus, it even has a write protection switch!

I HAD THAT EXACT SAME CRUZER MINI 128MB DRIVE!! wow does that bring back memories from... let's see... 8 YEARS AGO!

I have f0ur 4gb one 8gb and one 16gb thumb drives. Yesterday I bought a Zalman ve300 and am waiting impatiently for it's arrival. I also have a 250 gb hdd waiting to go inside. Does anyone have D7 on their Zalman?, and does it work ok?

One 8GB that has the offline windows updates on it, then I use a whopping 32MB flash drive the most. I save customers computer specs and profiles on it all the time.

I have: 4 x 16gb, 3 x 4gb, 4 x 2gb thumb drives. I have a 250gb external drive, and a 32gb SSD. And a 64gb SSD on its way to install in a Zalman which I've yet to order.
