While it's slow, real-time chat?

I'd love to see a TechNibble Discord or real-time chat, I know its been talked about in the past. My brother is a Discord genius when it comes to setup, maintenance, and running discord communities, but would love to see Bryce (and team?)

I'd love to real-time talk with several people here while business is a little slower, just curious on others thoughts?

...What happens on it? I barely know how to use it, but I find it useful for group and community chats

It's a "Free" voice communications medium designed for gamers.

And it's full of hyped up, bored 12 year old kids... the chaos that ensues is equal parts predicable and hilarious, but only when expected.

But yeah discord, is a great word to describe it with! lol

You do know you can block the 12 year olds, you're on the wrong channels XD I'm on one for component level repair, one for motorcycle riders, and one for techs who like to live-stream

Oh I know, servers exist on the platform for all things, but even if you have those mutants muted or shoved elsewhere, it doesn't negate the fact they are there. And the name of the platform remains a great and terrific irony!

What about a TN Webex room or something similar? Would you prefer a chat format instead?
I prefer text chat, I still get a customer once in awhile XD

Still don't understand the irony in the name? Googled discord and still don't understand...

Never used slack before, but I just got on.

I can't believe this thing is still a thing... https://www.mirc.com/

It makes me laugh every time someone mentions IRC and I recall the hours lost typing away in this silly chat client.

Already at version 4.0 by 1996... this thing predates the Internet as we know it... and I wonder how many people really understand that.
