Which software do you guys use for torrents ? I use Bitcomet myself. I have also tried Azureuz. I have heard good things about Bit-tornado too.

I use the basic bittorrent client. I download torrents very rarely so a multiple download tool isnt really needed. I tried Azreus once however I had firewall problems I couldnt easily overcome so I never bothered with it.

I highly recommend uTorrent for windows users it is small and uses next to nothing in resources. Many people use BitComet becuase BitComet and uTorrent function very similarly however BitComet uses practices that has gotten it banned on a handful of trackers. There is also the problem of BitComet used to cuase crashes for my old PC and uses more system resources. All in all you lose nothing and gain everything in the difference between uTorrent and BitComet.

I use Free Download Manger. It works with all types of downloads. It allows multiple downloads of the same file for faster downloads if the site will support multiple downloads.

Been using Utorrent for a few years now. Seems to use less resources and encounter less memory leak issues than other clients.

Just wanna make sure you guys all know that tracking the peers is easily done, and then it's just database manipulation to discover your real ip address, and then your home address.

Avoid torrentspy as it's a honeypot.

That is why 1) I use peer guardian when i am in the torrents

and 2) I have a good lawyer that can quote the latest legal rulings on such tracking! The RIAA is currently in court being sued over such tracking at it is a violation of privacy. And most important... ALWAYS set your client up so that it does not share, and only download from sites that do not require you to share. If you only download files, and they have no proof that you were uploading the files, they will have no distribution case against you and would loose money taking you to court!

Agreed 100%

Utorrent *High Five*

I only use torrents for software that I either own a license or my client does and I need to reinstall. Such as downloading XP OEM for reinstallation. The client has the key on the bottom of the machine and I just use the burned xp cd for the files. No illegal activities being performed.

If I'm going to torrent many things at once, perhaps uTorrent. Mostly use Opera since I don't have to open another program.
