One thing as a repair tech I have had trouble doing even in the past is finding good vendors to get wholesale parts from. The only one that is decent I have found is Evertek but even they get a little expensive. Anyone have any ideas on others.

G'day mate! Just a suggestion, but you should know that the members on TN are from all over the planet and whilst possible,it's unlikely you'll get much info re your local neighbourhood. Surely a simple web search would give you heaps of possibilities which you can research for price, availability, reliability etc? This works for most of us out in the big world.I live in a tiny place, quite remote...yet can access at least 6 State and National Suppliers...a few of which give me overnight service.I prefer to use several suppliers..it gives me the edge on prices etc..plus I have a policy of keeping all my eggs out of the one basket,as it were.;)

I'm associated with several wholesalers, but I'll be real honest with you. Newegg and Amazon are far cheaper and easier to deal with. The advantage to a wholesaler is you can call them and get a part or machine tomorrow, sometimes. I also use superwarehouse.com. I have a dedicated rep that I call to order parts. Never had any problem with them. Most of their stuff comes out of an Indiana warehouse, so this may work well for you. If you spend enough money with newegg, they will practically give you the world. I talk to them at least twice a week to order or whatever.

yes newegg actually sells some of their products below margin to keep their edge. so you probably can't do any better than them. just be careful about venturing out to unknown vendors for software purchases. you don't want to get caught selling something fake without knowing it.

From what I can tell, quite a few people here have accounts at places like D&H and what not for various reasons, but usually use regular channels to get parts.

I personally use newegg because most of their stuff comes from the next state over, so shipping is moslty next day. Sometimes it comes from California, and that can be a pain. Nevermind that the price is usually lower than a real supplier.

That's how Newegg is for me, if I need something in a rush I go there, pay standard shipping and have it the next day. Beautiful :)

AHHH so basically do the same thing I have been doing. I have found with some places you cant get a discount unless you buy 10 or more but with being a small store you really cant do that if the merchandise doesnt move unless its basic stuff like modems, cd roms and etc. Thanks for the advice guys.
