I was just looking for a replacement motherboard for a client. It is an AM4 B550 Motherboard. These things are no where to be found! Amazon, Newegg, etc.. everything is backordered! Even B450 motherboards.

I can get Intel boards at my door by tomorrow.

Just curious, anyone know the story as to why?

Might be a dip in supply as the makers ramped up to release their AM5 boards and with the cost of an AM5 hold outs for it might have changed course which has caused a surge in demand for AM4. Just some random speculation on conditions that could impact product availability.

I think chip shortages - now they are havening issues with "Jellybean" parts - PMICS, MOSFETS, Voltage Regulators, etc..
I'm hearing rumblings in the news and for some clients in the "automation/product handling/conveyor systems" business that they are having a difficult time finding "simple" tech.

I noticed the same issue over the weekend. There were boards last week... I had to make an order for 6 PC's and there were basically none under $250 for full-size ATX boards. I ended up ordering some but they are 25 days out at this point. Annoying!
