Well like the title says I need to find a meh computer at a great price. I've looked on ebay, craigslist, news paper and cant find anything. Most of the <$100 computers I've found are ones that have been stripped down and are being sold with 40gb hard-drive and 1ghz processor. I'm am just wanting to build a computer to put some build of linux on and use for random things like backups/media storage/minecraft server. But on craigslist you see regular people selling there 20 year old computers for $150 and up. So if any one has any direction to point me I would appreciate it. (plus I thought about building it but you really cant build a low end pc for what you would pay for parts etc.. vs. buying one)

I just bought 3 on ebay for £80

dual core 1.8Ghz 4gb RAM 250gb drive
3.06Ghz 2gb RAM, 160gb drive
3.06Ghz 4gb RAM, 250gb drive
All with windows XP COA and only 20 miles from my home so easy pickup :)

Figure I should be able to make use of them somehow on a test bench, might even make one a loaner for clients.

Newegg has had large batches of Lenovo ThinkCentre desktop computers. They are rock solid heavy duty business grade computers.....VERY good units. I've had some "budget clients" order quite a few of these...and they're in very good condition. Lot of performance for a great price.

There are quite a few different models on Newegg..do a search for Lenovo Thinkcentre. This link here shows a good one, Core 2 Duo, 3 gigs of RAM, XP Pro, 195 bucks.

Nice!! I've found ebay in the UK to be a bit of a huge waste of time in the past. I will have to dig a little deeper past all the traders.
