What's the Fastest Internet Speed Test You've Ever Seen in Person?

At home, in the country, I get about 5mb down and 1mb up on a DSL connection.
Too far from anything to get a decent speed.

At work however we have a 100mb down 50mb up fibre connection so it's much faster.
This is the fastest I have seen in the flesh.

The controlling group of the fibre rollout here in New Zealand is busy trialing 200mb down 100mb up so we will probably move to that when it becomes available.

Don't feel bad. Where I live now I am stuck with 3/1 DSL for $49.99 a month. It really sucks, but thay is the price I pay for living in the countryside.

I never thought I'd be dying to get 3 but I'm in a rural area where I've only been getting 1.5! And AT&T was refusing to give me higher for awhile even though I was capable of receiving it. They just gave it to me the other day and now I'm salivating at the thought of getting 3/1 in a few days. Sooo anyway, 700 is just greedy you guys...

We had a Verizon FIOS business class connection installed at my full-time IT job a couple of months ago. It is replacing our crappy Comcast connection. We also had an FPL Fibre connection installed this week which will give us a 100/50 backup connection.

Sheesh, I'm currently stuck at 4/1

Will be changing over suppliers soon over to either BT infinity, or virgin.

When we were with o2, I was regularly getting 6-8, since they sold out to sky, it has dropped dramatically.

Asking sky to look into it, and look at the noise levels is like talking to an ape. (Get more sense out of the ape). They haven't a clue what im talking about, and claim (as do they all), that its my pc causing the lag.

Go for Virgin!

£35/Mo and get a solid 120/10.

They're also doing FREE upgrades this year (for me its August) to 150/10 :)

At home I get about 25/6 out of my comcast, but I pay roughly $30 a month for it so I'm fine with that.

At work we were getting much more, but they recently dialed it down to get a lower bill against my recommendations of NOT doing so.

When I was going to college, the university got some crazy bandwidth... a few hundred Mbps both ways.

I live in the Chattanooga area and I have a gig connection from EPB, my provider, I have hit 960mb up easily and 940 down so I cant complain ... oh and I pay $70 a month for gig service :)

We'll be getting Google Fiber at home soon, and I can't wait. It stinks that I can't get it at the office (Google doesn't do static IP's) and since they bought the fiber from the company we are currently getting it from, we're stuck switching to Comcast.
