What's the Fastest Internet Speed Test You've Ever Seen in Person?

Jealous of you folks in Europe. 50/6 is all we get here. Although I do have a client in Baltimore that will soon have a Comcast direct fiber link of 50/50 for a measly $1800/mo.

one of my clients just got in a 100/100 line which actually peaks at 200/150.

I have 100/20 at home and work

Not wicked fast but getting up there finally

Sheesh, I'm currently stuck at 4/1

Will be changing over suppliers soon over to either BT infinity, or virgin.

When we were with o2, I was regularly getting 6-8, since they sold out to sky, it has dropped dramatically.

Asking sky to look into it, and look at the noise levels is like talking to an ape. (Get more sense out of the ape). They haven't a clue what im talking about, and claim (as do they all), that its my pc causing the lag.

Don't feel bad. Where I live now I am stuck with 3/1 DSL for $49.99 a month. It really sucks, but thay is the price I pay for living in the countryside.

Hey,

I'm with ya!

3/1 DSL $69.99/month

Only choice other than dial-up or satellite

These other speeds make me sick, (envious sick)

Ouch!. I'm currently paying £7.50 for upto 8mb. I would hate to think of paying £30+ for a 3mb line. That is bad, and you have my sympathies, both you and hf.

Fastest I have touched was a site I used to do support for that had a fiber 100/100 installed. But it took Verizon 9 months to get the install completed so they put in 8 T1's channel bonded during that time.

Does anyone use their university or colleges internet to upload large files? If I uploaded HD videos to YouTube I'd do it at my college.

Thanks to Google Fiber here, it's common, as long as the customers house has Cat5e/Cat6, to see 350 or more down and up. Most speed test servers can't handle more than that currently. I do have 100 down and 350 here at my home. :)

You have to use university servers when you have big Internet bandwidth. They're on the Internet 2 segregated network, which has the fastest speeds in the world. The best speed I got at my college involved using Duke University's speed test server. That school is over 1000 miles away.

I am so jealous, I pay $59.99 a month to Windstream (for my home) for 3Mbps down. That's the highest plan available where I live. But this is what I get on a nightly basis.

I have been up at around 3 in the morning and hit around 2.2 or so, lol.

According to them I am in a high latency area there is nothing they can really do, last time I spoke to them, which was a joke in itself, equipment upgrades should be in the 2015 - 2016 range. Could be sooner but they couldn't be sure.
