My son, 12 years old, asked me about building a computer. He wants to build his next computer, with my help, of course. Equally clear is the fact that I want to make this a pretty cool looking machine. So I want to start with the case - a cool one. This will not be a liquid cooled deal, and carpentry/welding are outside my skill set so nothing outrageous. I'm really just looking for something that has a wow effect when you look at it. The more unique the better.

So, what are the coolest cases you have seen?

I have the atcs 840 but i wouldnt call it cool looking...but i remember around the same time this case came out there was another that had the cables coming out the top instead of the back...i cant remember the name of it but i thought it was pretty cool looking.

The absolute coolest I've ever seen was the computer IN a desk...

Pretty sure that's a custom build though.

My own is a variation on this (no CD, laptop P/S)

Oh, and I've never gotten around to filling in the keyboard section. There are some expensive addons you can get to make the keyboard usable but I wouldn't use it so mine is a blank spot for now.

hi

first of all u must say the destination for this pc.gaming,office,etc.
and the money u want to spend on it.
if u want to build a gaming pc u can't use a minitower case.give me more details please.

I am partial to my cooler master storm scout. Clean, carrying handle, 4 front USB ports. Why no do water cooling? Grab a corsair h60 should run about 65, makes a nice clean look inside and closed loop system. No maintenance.

I can't remember the name but there's one out there that looks like an army ammo crate. What specs you going for on this box? If you don't want to spend much, maybe look at the amd fx series. I've got the 8 core fx 8120 bulldozer, overclocked to 4 ghz and a radeon 7850, 8 gb of ram, and runs pretty much any game/app I want. I can spend more but why?
