What LCD brands to you prefer?

Desktop LCDs...

I'm partial to Samsung (#1) and LG (#2). I can't say I've ever had an issue with those brands. I've had bad luck with Acer and other cheap monitors (bad caps, defective backlights, etc.) so I try to stay away from them.

What are your personal favorites? (And have you switched to an LED backlit monitor yet?)

I used to be all about Viewsonic...including back in the CRT days. Always Viewsonic.
But so many good brands out there now...Acer, Samsung, HP, LG, Asus...the list keep going....

Same here, but now with the price of LCDs I'm not that picky, especially for office machines.

We prefer Acer to all others. I have deployed literally hundreds of them and only had minor issues (the occasional bad caps on very old models, the occasional stuck pixel, and very few defective backlights) but in hundreds the % of problems is very low. And, considering the price compared to other brands, if it does die its not super costly to replace.

I used to be a Viewsonic guy also. Unfortunately at a company i used to work for we would see significantly more issues with Viewsonic LCD's compared to Acer LCD's. AKA incompatibility (yeah strange), multiple bad caps, multiple random failures and the like. And at a typical significantly higher price, the Acer's were the better buy hands down...

oh and i am typing this on 2 20" Acer LED LCD's. My partner and I love them. Thin, compact, great picture, Low price... What more could you ask for? Gaming is great on them too!

personal favorites ? , Dell, best customer service and 0 pixels waranty, as much as posible 1920x1200 or higher I hate 1080.
