I can't figure out the "SP" directory is. This isn't to accomplish a job, it's just for learning purposes.

Does it mean "SharePoint"?

The customer has an Office 365 subscription, although I'm not sure how he has it set up, but when sharing his Quickbooks company file, so others can access it on the network, the UNC that windows give to the share is: \\SP\Company Files.

I can't find an "SP" directory anywhere on the computer. How does Windows come up with "SP"?

share is: \\SP\Company Files.
The first part (directly after the double slashes) is the computer name not a folder: eg: \\Server\SharedFolder. Someone has probably named the computer 'SP' (the computer that contains the shared folder 'Company Files' that is).

OM gosh! I really goofed that one. "SP" is the initials for the customer's business....computer is obviously named after it. I don't know how many times I've read about UNC and I forgot that. thanks
