Even though I don't really do onsite work (yet), I still maintain a kit with me each day when I go to work, mostly because I like having a good kit from which to have tools that might not be at the office.
I bought an Irwin organizer that's roughly 11" x 9" that fits in my backpad, and it's packed with goodies from Micro SATA to SATA, SATA to USB, USB Hub, USB WiFi, USB Ethernet, VGA to HDMI, Mini DP Adapters, Flash Drives with Office/Windows/Tools, RAM For laptops, CMOS Battery, AA Batteries, Phone Charger, Battery Bank, Mini PCI-E WiFi, USB Audio, USB C Adapters, IDE to SATA Adapters. Mainly stuff like that. I have another pouch that I keep cables in, like Ethernet Cables, SATA Cables, USB 3 Cables.
It's all the stuff over the years I know comes in handy.
Because I work for a small shop, budget for things like these isn't always there, so I don't mind buying them because even if I decide to move on, these are tools I can continue to use. Same with software, I have licenses for pretty much most basic data recovery, fixing windows etc.
So, what do you keep on you?
