What do you think about the top menu bar?

I'm a little concerned about the spacing on the menu bar at the top of the screen. Does it look like there is too much space between the buttons?

I think the menu system is overly complicated (too many options)

I also think the top row buttons would look better in lower case

Thanks. I never considered lowercase. I'll have to see how it looks.

I think that having both a side menu and top menu would be confusing for visitors. In addition to that it makes things seem cluttered.

In my opinion:

Two menus is confusing and cluttered. Consider using drop down menus or a two level menu.

The header logo is pretty large.

If you want some help I can make you a mockup of a layout to give you some ideas.

Ditto. Do one or the other not both. De-sending menus as you hover over them. I disagree about the all lowercase. I hate that. But that is just me.

If done well lowercase can look very appealing, if done well. You are right though it is entirely a personal preference.
