what do you guys use to recover a corrupted partition

I haven't found a good one to add to my bag of tricks. I have a drive with a corrupted partition I will need to try to recover. I was able to recover all of the data but wanted to test fixing the partition on this drive since I pulled all of the data already.

TestDisk has worked great for me in the past, and it is free as in Open Source and Free Pizza...

It isn't the easiest to use, but provided you are a computer tech (not an end-user)... I really don't think you will have any problem. It was intuitive enough for me.

Easeus Partition Master Pro worked really well the only time I used it.

I use r-studio. You can download a demo and it will show you what you can recover and you then pay to unlock the software. It's pretty awesome, you can even image a series of RAID disks and rebuild the array virtually.
