Kasperskey works for me. I've used it on all the home machines for the last 6 years or so and have had no problems or successful attacks in that time.
That includes protecting one machine used by a 12 year old grand-daughter who thinks she's an adult when she's here and one machine used by my partner's son who likes to think all bandwidth belongs to him and torrents are the best invention the world has ever seen.
The parental controls on Kaspersky are superb and coupled with its protection makes it a great domestic use protector.
