Sorry guys, forgot to search before posting, but the answer to the following problem is check the clock. it was set to 2005
on both firefox and IE anytime i go to a secure website, ie a bank website, it stops me saying the certificate is invalid. when you look at the certificate in firefox, everything is fine (not expired, issued properly). Anyone have a clue, I've never seen something like this before, its not a virus, no characteristics and nothing showed on my numerous av/spyware scans.
This on a clients computer, and I really dont want to have to reinstall the OS, because they have a lot of stuff on here.
Its a Tosh satellite laptop (older model w/vista basic)
