There's a big block of text on the top of the page that doesnt need to be there
On this site, you will find tools for monitoring networks and IT systems. Network monitoring is the use of a system for checking servers, systems, and devices that make up a network. This process allows a Network Administrator to easily manage, diagnose and resolve issues within the network.
There are many different network monitoring systems and tools that have been created to help automate the day to day task that Network Administrators need to perform. These tasks include: monitoring bandwidth usage, monitoring switches, routers, monitor system resources such as CPU, memory and disk space, ensure devices are up and running without errors, and much more. Some of these tasks are time consuming and require a great deal of knowledge and technical skills.
Software that can automate these time consuming tasks, will help avoid manual, error prone administrative activities on critical devices and saves time and cost.
This site is updated frequently with not only new tools but also related articles, tips & tricks, how-to guides and much more. We accept new products and documents from end users and software developers.
If someone has come to your site, they probably have a faint inclination of what network monitoring tools are, and the rest of the information you are providing here should be evident in the content of the site itself.
Blocks of text like this are bounce-material. People will take one look at the mountain of reading and just click away. Particularly if its not content-rich!
The font in the two sidebars is too small to read at 1920x1080
There's a lack of images. At the moment, theres just the two colours and LOTS of text. Its kind of alienating. Colourless, bland, clinical.
I think a clearer evaluation format would be a considerable improvement. Personally, I would like to see provide some form of quick-sketch evaluation of the products. A star-system, thumbs up/down, or some form of feature comparison and conclusion on which is the best app for the task.
--- visitors shouldnt
have to read your reviews to get to a summary of 'whats good' and 'whats not'. The reading aspect should be optional when they find what they are looking for and want to drill down for more info.
Your opinion is valuable if you can provide 'value-added' takes on the subject you're writing about. Your readers, however, may be interested to hear from other people regarding the relative merits of the software. This gives balance, and some of your readers may know things you dont - which will again improve the content aspect
So thats my take FWIW. At this stage the site is a very dry experience to visit. It could be improved IMO by adding some quick-access evaluation, some form of comments system, some colour, and a significant edit on that front page.
