Website mock ups: what do you think ?

you could even make the geek squad disappear and have some fun and make fun of bad techs by making them disappear...have a section for (so you brought it to another shop eh) zap zap zap....If you did dress up like a modern wizard it would raise peoples curiosity and make people talk about you (hell they might even make fun of you). All that talking is basically going to give you word of mouth advertising and that my friend is Guaranteed income.

Harry Potter fused with Merlin... hmmm.. lol Would you trust him with your PC?

I like Template #3, colour scheme #1 (and yes I did spell COLOUR correctly).

In Template #1, I reckon take that big banner, including the dude in the suit holding the lappy, and put it into Template #3 at the top going right across. Drop the navigation menu down a bit so it sticks up just a bit overlapping the edge of the banner, and put that search function thats in Template #3, put it inside the laptop the dude in the suit is holding. Fonts are all good, but colour scheme isn't right to me.

Just my 2 cents =)

*EDIT*
Cool Template

I like that idea alot :D I never thought of mixing and matching them kinda like a frankeinstein website lol.

This is my site (i know its all Greek to you thats because it IS in Greek), i am posting it here so you can see what is my idea of a technology company site.

I like layout1 :) what do you think of them ?

Hey Andy, please don't take this the wrong way.

They both look, unprofessional, and you need to lose the monkey kid as I wouldn't hire anyone with that on their website.

Sorry.

Aaron

I agree, it looks unprofessional. It seems to me like your designer just really wants to make some eye candy, and that's not what you need.
You need a functional website with relevant content, that's it.
You don't need it to "Wow" anyone with animations, cartoon guys, flashy menu layouts, etc.

People that visit your website are going to look at it and what it says.... You need something that's easy to navigate, has a clean design, and is VERY well written.

If I could make a suggestion, use the basic idea from layout one you just showed us, but simplify it.
I'm no designer, but I think the layout changes I made in the image attached look MUCH better than what your designer is suggesting.

Also, I'm not even saying go with the changes I made...but choose something and go with it. You've presented us like 6 or 7 drastically different themes, none of which should have taken this long to do. Your priority should be getting a decent design, with fantastic content.

well the images can be changed and this is only a foundation so that pam and me can begin working on it from the ground up, you see she wanted to build one in which we can both kinda talk back and forth on and to build on it.

How do they look unprofessional ?

I think the main thing was the cartoon guy. I know you said ignore that part, so maybe you were already planning on ditching it?

ok so ignoring the computer guy then does the layout look good ? bear in mind it has no content and no text areas yet. its just a bare layout just to build on, i cant keep messing pam about as i feel bad for it already she has put it alot of time to create them

Still bad. Take a look at the image I posted a few comments back.

yeah i saw it, it does need something in the middle though surely ? I must admit it looks better without but kinda plain in the middle, overall though do you like that layout ? its just I have no idea what a good website is to be honest because I've never have one made for me before so ive got no idea :rolleyes:

If you look at 99% of the websites of technibble users, they're simple, to the point, and try to be well written.

Like I said, I'm no designer, and maybe the image I posted does need something in the middle...but not TOO much in the middle. Again, it doesn't need to be eye candy, it just has to look presentable

yes there simple to the point but they are also professionaly made thats what i'm trying to do with pc wizard but since my business name is pc wizard i am sorta trying to incorporate a little bit of wizard but sadly i think pam is going a bit overboard with the theme.

You might be surprised...it seems to me like a majority of people here did their own sites.
I had a friend of a friend do my original stuff, but that was to get me off the ground, the majority of my site is stuff I've done...and I'm no designer.

I pm'd you my link...I don't like sharing my contact info publicly....
