I bought 3 Samsung used SSD's

Samsung ssd 840 pro 256 26,000 hours

Samsung ssd 840 EVO 250 22,000 hours

These were a side deal to the Samsung 850 EVO 1 TB 2,000 hours, that I wanted

wondering how long might the 20 thousand hours SSD's last

I paid $180 CAD for the 3 not a screaming deal but no tax or shipping.

That's $135 USD

I know buying used H/D is risky, would you buy a second-hand parachute without knowing its history

I have no problems putting used SSD's in computers I sell, but I would avoid drives with known firmware bugs (IIRC the 840's had some firmware issues).

The 840s do have some garbage collection issues, but I've got one here that's been powered up for almost 8 years and still kicking.

I used CrystalDisk to see hours, percentage of what

I guess if they have run for 20,000 they must be pretty stable
I bought a used Kingston 480 when I Googles it was an old slow model that used some king of legacy fetch compared to the new one
I installed it and it was lighting compared to the spinner it replaced despite being an older model.

I

22k hours is ~2.5 years of 24/7 operation.....; not that big a deal for most SSDs, IMO....
