I believe a similar topic was posted with links to various AV and Security Suite uninstallers but i took it on myself to download and rename all AV/SS uninstallers i could find.

Some are from the manufacturers website and some are third party tools, however they've been checked and scanned by me.

There are obvious advantages to using dedicated uninstallers over the add/remove programs, these clean every little bit left by the AV. Good if the AV has been damaged after a virus attack etc. Just something handy i wanted on my Zalman to make life easier.

Thanks for the post. Was just thinking about this. Does anyone know if there is a tool to detect and uninstall any installed antiviruses or traces of antiviruses? Would be cool to have a script that detected what was installed and ran the appropriate removal tool(s).

We use GFI MAX and I know that they have scripts that can remove installed antiviruses before their managed antivirus is deployed. Their standalone antivirus does the same thing. It removes any existing antivirus before installing. Just wish I had that code.

Yeah, I think that Foolish plans on working on that soon ;)

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to do this, it is appreciated. Trouble is that these things go out of date so soon. If you reaaally want to go crazy, how about creating a ketarin profile with all the relevant download links setup so you could just run ketarin and TADA! everything is up to date. Would also mean you could update just one tool if you were in a rush. And you could automate the downloading for every day.

As for the russian link, I'm sure it's fine since I know you guys would not have posted it but I prefer to be able to read some information on the website from where I'm downloading it from so I can see the whole story behind a product. But again, thanks for sharing :)
