Had to do an odd repair today....some lady dropped off a computer tower used by someone with "a lot of computer expertise" and wanted to know if this person was surfing pornography. Well the person did cover his tracks as the temp and history folders were completely empty but a 5min scan with Recuva found a crap ton of porn links and pictures, real raunchy gang bang kind too. :eek:
 
Do you report them (Like to the client/ THEIR MOM)? I don't know if I would do it.. saw a customer had an awful lot of BBW links and i just thought.. hey been there buddy maybe ill remove these for ya.

Well yeah, that's what the lady specifically was paying me for to find evidence of pornographic web surfing. If I say no there nothing and she persists and brings it to another place and they find it that will reflect bad on me since I wasn't able to find anything.
 
well you would have to show her the evidence of what you found in a "round about" kind of way... she might have dropped off the tower, but who did it actually belong to... bit of a "sticky" situation
 
I did this sort of a job for a client once, and never again. I fix things, I make them work better, and I find products that make my clients more productive and happy.

I'm not a private eye.
 
I once had a mother and daughter come into a shop I once worked at and said they had 'virus problems' and wanted to know how they could possibly get them. I explained well, you get them from surfing porn or through email primarily. They of course said they would never do that EV-VER and that they were good christians etc. I'm thinking this will be fun.... Within 30 seconds of them leaving I find that the daughters profile is loaded with stuff relating to 'girl on girl action' shall we say. :)
