Doing a project at a large horse stable/riding farm, starting with the stables and riding arena indoors. Doing a few Unifi AC APs, as well as the first of several Outdoor models like this one. Much larger unit than I expected, quite heavy duty.
Adding the Unifi Video G3 cameras as soon as they arrive.

Those do seem rather large. Who do you use for your main UBNT vendor? I've ordered some through IM and dealt with Streakwave before. Curious as to who your preferred vendor is for pricing and support once you hit some volume with UBNT hardware?

Streak and Ingram were out of stock on this Outdoor model, so I got it from B&H out of New York (we don't have an account with them, and it was still cheaper at B&H).

Years ago we got Ubiquiti stuff from Fleeman Anderson & Bird (www.fab-corp.com) which is where we got other "unusual" wireless hardware.
Then I found Streakwave and started getting our stuff from there.
End of last year, Ingram started selling Ubiquiti so we're using them more and more. (Like..I got those big Air Fibers from Ingram, and about 85 dollars less in cost than Streakwave).
But Streakwave tends to have some good pre-sales info..cuz their huge Ubiquiti partners. Ingrams Ubiquiti rep isn't as knowledgeable yet.
However, Ubiquitis forum support is out-stand-ing!

@BlackLabTechs I use Streakwave and Baltic networks. They both have great rates. I bounce between them when stock becomes an issue.

@YeOldeStonecat I did a horse farm last year with 3 of these across 1000 feet indoors. 1 in the home's demarc, one in the tac room in the barn off of a 300 foot underground voice cat5 drop converted to rj45 keystone and one in the barn attic on the other side of a solar panel inverter system that created a huge dead zone. https://www.ubnt.com/unifi/unifi-ap-ac-lr/

*Edit: 300 foot drop (Not 500)

Thanks! I've seen B&H pop up for many tech items but haven't used them. I'll mostly stick with IM and Streakwave depending on stock. I wouldn't mind ordering the cheaper products that I'm familiar with through an unknown source (B&H) but if I ever order any of those AirFiber units - it would be through someone I've worked with before.

I've ordered from B&H before...but privately, for myself, for regular consumer electronics. Nicer Canon cameras, GoPro stuff, turntable accessories for our son, etc.
I didn't even think of them for network gear...especially Ubiquiti stuff. They just popped up on a search...I saw it in stock, so I got it. They shipped it next day.
They are very reputable, excellent customer support, based on recommendations made to me years ago from friends..when getting personal stuff. So I wasn't afraid to use them for an outdoor AP.
But yeah I'd want to get bigger AirFiber stuff from a major wholesaler, just for the support purpose. I doubt B&H really supports Ubiquiti stuff.

Brian,

Just installed 2 of those Outdoor AC, and about 9 of the new AC Long Range.
Have some AC Pro going in tomorrow (installing outside)
Installed a new Unifi Switch and trying a Unifi Gateway

Seems to be good.

The camera I want to try but the currenty Unifi ones lack some mounting styles. When are the G3 series coming out?
