I've got a laptop sat here where the owner has experienced problems with the touchpad, and took the laptop apart trying to find the problem.

The problem is now there is a crack running through the touchpad's PCB and i've got to try and replace it, ok simple enough, except i cant find one for this laptop anywhere!

The laptop is a Sony Vaio VPC-EB1S0/W1 and the touchpad is integrated into the palm rest.

Anyone have any idea's where i may be able to source one from? I am in the UK but the client has indicated that providing the price is reasonable he is willing to pay shipping from the USA, China, etc.

Thanks

+1 for PCHub. Great service for laptop parts

Have you googled the part number for the PCB? - likely to give you more results than using the laptop model to source

What's the delivery time for PCHUB if they are based in the far east?

edit - just seen it.

Martyn, i've usually had stuff arrive within 10-14 days from ordering. When your in need of a part, which no one else has, you have to take the rough with the smooth lol.

Hi guys, just to let you know the Laptop is repaired, kind of. The Touchpad is a bit posessed. It astonished me how Sony intergrated the Alps Touchpad right into the case.

I couldn't find the part on pchub, but damn they have got some hardware on there!
