Just looking for some quick help really.

I'm in the UK and am looking for a trustable source/website for replacement Laptop Screens, if I have to get it shipped then it shall be, but I'd prefer the UK. Picky aren't I :p

I had trouble with sites in the past and would like some input from fellow professionals.

Thanks in advance guys and gals.

Usually don't even need the screen number just the laptop model number unless that particular model has a few variants.

Same here, but he said he already searched for the model number and didnt find results, so the next step would be the screen part number.

Also, I've noticed I can sometimes find the same screen from the same ebayer and its cheaper searching for the screen # than if you search for the model #. Not sure why but i've seem it on several screens.

I just meant for those particular sites, you don't need the screen part number.
I would always use the screen part number on ebay though.
Anyway, time for bed said Zebedee. :)

+1 on this trick. I always search for any screens as many ways as I can think of in order to find the best price on a quality product. Example..."Macbook A1181", "13.3" WXGA", "LP133WX1(TL)(A1)", and "LP133WX1-TLA1" should all bring up the correct screen. This idea only seems to make a difference when using eBay (which should probably be a last resort anyway!).

Sorry for the late reply, been a busy bee and haven't really thought about logging into TN

Thanks for your replies, a few good sites I can add to the old noggin. Luckily I decided to randomly call a Computer shop I used to favour as they always gave me awesome deals buying in bulk; anyhow they had quite a few LED/LCDs in stock, including the one I need for the Acer Aspire 5741a.

Although I'm hoping it will include the metal bezel that's attatched to the screen as the old one has been damaged when the laptop was dropped, but I'm thinking it won't be as it's most likely an OEM piece.

Ebay is a good source for buying LCD screens, most sellers are reliable. They deliver next day if order placed before 4pm or so. If you pull out the old screen you will find a compatible screen. Looking up the the laptop model alone is not enough, you might even endup ordering wrong screen if you use the laptop model only.
