I am trying to save the pictures off of a laptop that the mobo went out on and am having trouble finding a way to connect the hdd to any of the other ones i have here. it is a fujitsu and i dont have another hp sitting around to install it into just to save the clients pictures, and they are the only copy she has of her daughter as a baby, so any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated

why do you think it must go in another laptop?

there are a ton of adapters out there for these types of things.

I bought an adapter off of newegg and sitting here playing with it but it came with no instructions and i am just having a moment where my mind went blank and cant figure this out. just looking for some suggestions or maybe a better adapter
this is the adapter that i purchased

Wow, if you're phased by a connector having just two connectors & no instructions, good luck to you in this business! I would suggest you take it to a local repair shop who could undertake this simple data recovery without any drama or high cost, you'll find any competent repair technician should have no problem with this job.

You need to read up on computer interfaces before you take on any more paid work of this type, it's basic beginner's stuff.

nope no need to read up or take it to a computer repair shop i never should have posted that question but my mind went blank like my post said, but its done and the pictures are saved, sorry to ask such a simple question on here even tho i am still pretty new at computer repair, but again sorry for the beginner questions

first of all, did you remove the HDD to notebook adapter? and second what connector does it use? SATA or IDE or maybe its SCSI(fat chance)
