I just got around to looking at laptop ive had here for a while. I plug into the charger and it shows the light thats its plugged in but as soon as i press the ON button all the lights turn off and it wont boot. Im pretty sure its not the AC Adapter...but i have no clue on what it could be.

I've had this with a customer's Satellite laptop too. Try holding the button down for a few seconds, let go, then press it once and see if it comes on. Otherwise what I did was I took out the battery, put it back in, and tried that. Maybe it was just that laptop that I had but it seems like the battery/charger sucks for the Satellites.

Toshiba Satellites are prone to having the DC jack go bad. Does the computer charge? I would also try bypassing the battery all together by taking it out, plugging in the computer and powering it on.

Depends on the model but it's most likely on the board. If it's an m35 series then it's possible the maxim chip needs to be resoldered. If you push down on it when you push the power button and the system starts up then that's probably the trouble. The lead free solder fails eventually.

What a disaster ROHS lead-free solder turned out to be. Millions of dead Xbox's, countless laptops with dead GPU's, this maxim thing, I even heard that some military applications require rework of some ROHS compliant boards back down to leaded, before putting them into service.

Yup, more brain dead dogooderness gone astray. Making solder without lead is like making bread without yeast..

i took the battery out and it shows the Cord button. As soon as i press on it turns all lights turn completely off. When i have the battery in and i do this the lights blink off but then the cord still stays on. I press down on it tried powering and nothing. Its a P305-s8822. Honestly the guy that brought it really seems like an asshole. Hes one of those "ive been screwed over too many times" type guy. I really think im not even going to bother with this one. Id still like to know whats wrong with it thou.
