Hi I am using a small ssd in one of my machines and am having trouble finding the source of the shrinking size, I've deleted restore points, CCleaner, disk cleanup. I'd like to find a tool that would show more about the files stats of the drive. Anybody know of a good one?

Wiztree is my preferred. Speedy because of MFT and just plain works.

If you look in %windir%\Temp and find a bunch of cab_ files, go to %windir%\logs\CBS and delete any log files larger than 2GB. Windows is trying to compress those, but the compression file format can't handle input files > 2GB so it dies, leaving those cab_ files behind in the temp directory.

Also, hit the Start button and type "Cleanup" then right-click and Run As Administrator to be able to clear out a bunch of Windows Update files.

Dropbox is renowned for hiding deletions. They say they keep for only 30 days but I swear I've seen it much longer. I can't remember what is was that made cleaning out the deleted cache so hard in Dropbox.

Just had a client with this issue/bug! 6 year old WIndows 7 install and the CBS folder was 95+gb!
