I have a client with 20 workstations (xp and 7) printing to a canon c2020 copier via network. On two of the workstations, about half of prints are skewed about 10 degrees. Doesn't matter whether tray 1 or 2 or bypass. Other workstations all print ok.

Printing either from ms word or outlook.

Any ideas?

Got a bit more info this morning.

There were two other computers (total of 4) that were also printing skewed on the page. The tech came out, and (according to the client) "replaced the rollers" in the copier. Those 2 workstations have since printed fine. They said he did not go to those 2 computers at all to change anything.

I have checked both bad workstations against a the setup on a good machine, to be sure all options were set the same (making sure something like duplexing wasn't sending paper along a different path in the printer).

He didn't do anything to the computers because it is a printer problem. I've worked with printers for years and have never seen a computer send a 'tilted print'

Yep.

But the copier tech is passing the buck.

It's on me to prove/show that it is not the workstations. At least it's billable time. :) Already had that talk with the boss.

So what tests have you done to start the ball rolling? You say half the prints are skewed, does that mean you are say sending 20 prints of one page and 10 are skewed? If so, definitely the printer.

You need to do structured tests to take to the copier tech to 'prove' it is the copier/printer.

The copier tech will pass the buck he has plenty of other calls to go to. Contact the copier company and tell them that you want someone in to meet you to solve the problem because your 'boss' is going to want someone to pay for your time. Keep your 'boss' informed.
