That's it HostGator! Bye, Bye

The one problem with this is that if there ARE any problems, they are YOUR problems to sort out. I do use a VPS myself for this Technibble server, but its managed by someone else.

The Server / Hosting uptime is very reliable. The issue is support and I agree with everyone.. Having VPS gives you full control together with headache if you don't have the skill set or just simply don't want to deal with it.. I would recommend to others exactly what you did and have someone managed it. This way you have full control. Not just Hostgator but for any cloud services.

I recently got another VPS account and start offering VoIP. I can now provide faster service / modification and also eliminate the issue with other major VOIP provider who dictates what I can do and not do.

VPS is not for everyone and it cost more but its a good way to be competitive..

So guys I have Arvixe and yes they are good until you need support. I am running on a shared personal account @ $0 /month. They bought my company AFMU. So they kept me at the same price. Support is in the crapper unless it's an easy fix. Been down since Sunday now and still no answer. They say it's a spam issue. I go to chat with them every day. I need to leave them. Been thinking of InMotion.com, Rackspace.com, Siteground.com, and even through the Tech Builder Site here. I run Wordpress so my question is what's my best choice? Remember I need a fast solution my website is down, emails not working. Any info would help.

P.S. Inmotion.com seems to come from the Grand Cayman. Not to sure on them.

My suggestion is to find a good, Australian Host. Why deal with Americans? We are the biggest business jerks in the world, where we don't give a crap about anything but our bottom line...

In contrast, it is my opinion that Australians are more friendly and personable people.

I'm using Dreamhost at the moment, and have had great experiences with Pair Networks in the past. Lunarpages is another story (NOT recommended).

Does anyone have StableHost.com service and how do you like it?

I do and I LOVE it. They have never let me down. The tech support is awesome and quick to respond. I learned a lot with them. Lately I haven't really talked to them as the VPS is just stone cold reliable and just sits there humming along. I would recommend them to anyone.

I'm surprised you like DreamHost since it will turn out most likely like most other EIG companies but if you are good with them that's great.

So far it's been okay; no major hiccups, and I just don't have time to research anything else at the moment. I never had any problems with Pair Networks at all but you pay for that--they're on the expensive side. Or at least they were when I had them. I don't know what their prices are like now.

Host Excellence is AWESOME! I have been using them over 13 years--never ever a single issue! My sites were down for about 6 hours one time when they completely replaced the servers I was using--that was the only time! Their Ultimate Business plan is crazy! The C Panel is packed solid with everything. The only time I ever have to call is to have the PHP upgraded and then Squirrel Mail upgraded to match the PHP upgrade. I have no idea how to do that on my own and afraid of crashing stuff. Just look at their hosting plans, lots of stuff at a very cheap price. Now there is ONE issue I'm starting to think is going to crop up and that is the issue of using Let's Encrypt as we move forward. They don't support it and require their CERT at 50 dollars per year, which is not bad but essentially its now a "man in the middle" situation..... Looking for hosting providers now which have free, automatic Let's Encrypt install for those times that I need it--and I found lots of them.
