I just want to say how pleased I am with the way Laptop Screen treats its customers. They promptly shipped a replacement screen to replace one damaged in transit, and another which turned out not to be compatible (even though it tested perfectly for them before and after shipment and return), and have just moments ago provided a shipping label so I can return for credit a redundant screen ordered at the end of September. I don't know how they can stay in business, with such generous and kind return policies.

That last screen, was one I installed in the recently-mentioned MSI MS-1759 that needed the video cable replaced -- not the screen, which screen I replaced in October. Because it was an error in my diagnosis, I refunded to the customer the cost of the screen replacement and was feeling sorry for myself because the refund was for more than the cost to replace the video cable. I was now $30 in the hole, after struggling with this MSI from hell. Just to be sure it wasn't a video cable and a screen problem, I re-installed the original screen and it works perfectly.

Lamenting that I now owned a new screen which I may never need again, I looked into return privileges and found that Laptop Screen allows returns up to six months after the order is placed. And, they even provided a shipping label for the return.

I couldn't be happier with the way Laptop Screen has treated me; they are a treat to do business with and have my undying loyalty.

We don't do that many screens anymore, maybe 1 a month? A few years ago when we were doing a lot of them, we used laptopscreens almost exclusively - very easy to deal with, great pricing, fast shipping and liberal return policies. Glad to hear they've kept it up.

I had to order a complete top half of my XPS13 earlier this week (I dropped it on a rough cement floor and it landed on the corner - ouch), and I was extremely surprised to see that they carried it - it was out of stock, unfortunately, so I ended up sourcing a used one from ebay. I hope I don't regret that decision.

They don't use those Chinese knockoff screens that say that 3-5 dead pixels is "normal," do they? That's what I hate about all those Chinese resellers. Even if they work the first time you plug them in, they fail in 3-6 months anyway.

Not that I have seen, and I've ordered a lot of screens from them. Never had a complaint with any of them from my customers, either.

I just read their dead pixel policy and they're saying the same bullsh*t about dead pixels being "normal." Of course, they say that if you're unhappy with the screen for any reason (including dead pixels), that you can try and exchange it with another one. But that's not something I want to do all the time. Define "a lot of screens." I don't need an exact number but are we talking 10's, 100's, 1,000's? Ever had a dead pixel?

In my case it was easily over 100 screens, I remember one instance with 3 dead pixels that they replaced without argument, and one other instance with a pixel stuck on red - same answer. I remember that one because I found an app that creates a 20x20 square block cursor that rapidly changes color, in an attempt to free the stuck pixel. It didn't work - haha. I kept it around thinking I might use it again, but I've never come up against a stuck pixel since!
