Taking a 6 week medical leave as a one man shop

Update to thread-post surgery

Hey all.

Felt I owed the community an update to this thread and how everything turned out.

I successfully had my pulmonary valve replaced on December 3rd. Recovery was amazing. I had no idea what to expect and had prepared myself for the worst, which was where I was figuring the six weeks from. I was hospitalized for only 5 days and then was back at work at least part time on the 6th day after surgery. I was able to use a couple of trusted friends as sub contractors for the first week..

I was back to a 100% workload 1 week after returning home. My only restrictions are no driving and no heavy lifting for the next 3 1/2 weeks. All my customers have been amazing in their understanding and well wishes have been pouring in from everywhere.

Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. If anyone else is ever facing a similar situation I am more than happy to share my experience in greater detail if it can help..

All I can say, is welcome back, and I am truly glad that everything has turned out great for you.

So pleased that the op has gone perfect, and everything is running fine again for you :)
