Sync Outlook Calendar to iOS?

I have a client using a Comcast email address who frequently gets calendar invites and they appear in the "calendar (on this computer)". That all works fine.

I can't seem to figure out a way to sync that calendar with an iPhone.

Anyone run into this before?

Without Exchange? I don't know of any way to do this. There used to be, but over time all those products went the way of the dodo.

Can gmail calendar be synced to PC Outlook as well as an iPhone?

If the user has iTunes installed on the PC along with MS Outlook (configured with the user's email address that receives the calendar invites), the two can sync and Outlook will push calendar updates to iTunes which will push the calendar updates to the phone if both using the same Apple ID.

Yes. Though third party utilities are necessary to sync calendar and contacts from Gmail to Outlook.

Go Contact Sync Mod is an open source option and Fruux has a free version for personal use.
