Strange BT (UK) email problem

A friend has an email address that ends in @btinternet.com and for the last couple of weeks he's not been receiving any emails. He can send from the address but he can't receive.

This is happening on three different devices - a laptop, a smartphone and a tablet.

The sender never gets any bounce message so as far as they are concerned, the mail has been delivered alright. When my friend looks to see if he has any email, using any of the three devices, the account syncs (which to me, implies that passwords and ports are correct) but no mail is delivered - not to any of the three devices.

He doesn't even receive emails when he logs in via bt.com and uses webmail.

Any ideas or is this, as I suspect, likely to be a server problem?

Paul - no, no mail forwarding has been set up and the password has already been changed.

Moltuae - yes, he can get to the webmail page but there are no new emails there either

Thanks for your suggestions chaps but no, that's not the issue.

Cheers anyway :)

Just heard from my friend and it's all sorted now. He apparently had his Ebay account hacked recently and realised that the incidents could be linked. A bit of time spent with BT's helpdesk and it transpires that his email has been hacked and an autoforward had been set up to divert his email to somewhere possibly in China.

Thanks for your help guys, cheers.
