StopSign AV removal problem

A client has this eAccelerator StopSign AV package installed. It seems it used to have a bad reputation, has gone "good", etc.

My problem is I can't get into make system changes (startup changes, etc) without uninstalling it. When I uninstall it, it doesn't cleanly remove the firewall portion which seems to be installed as a network protocol/driver called fwcore.dll/fwcore.sys

This portion remains behind after uninstall and prevents network access of any kind. I can't remove it because I get a message about it being necessary for StopSign firewall....which has of course been removed.

To regain network access I had to go back to the restore point in which the firewall was installed again.

Anyone have any ideas?

I did try Revo. It went through and found all sorts of reg entries which I chose to remove. Same with folders. I went to restart, and the shutdown process took a long time. When it rebooted into Vista the program was installed again as though nothing happened.

I've had this happen with other products that had removals that went bad. Norton...McAffe...after uninstall, no network access. I use their standalone removers and the problem is resolved.

StopSign unfortunately has no such removal tool at their website...and it is Sunday so I can't get in touch with anyone.

I had a client with this problem and was able to just delete it from their connection properties (where Client for Microsoft networks, TCP/IP v4, QOS Packet Scheduler, etc. are) with no problems.

He had uninstalled the software earlier because it was costing him every month and I sold him on a cheaper solution. After a month or so he could not connect to the internet, I reset the TCP/IP stack and uninstalled the firewall from the connection properties. reboot and problem solved.
