start expanding to national remote

Use the local company name, you are going to need that credibility. You are trying to enter a business that has a failure rate far greater than a local computer repair business which is already kind of bad. National SEO is no joke the person you should really be looking at is lisa (callthatgirl) as my business is struggling. With the loss of all quality rootkits out there there is not a whole lot of demand for my services just a microsoft office issue here and there. As far as the free estimate goes, I don't see how i'd be able to charge for a diagnosis with online repair. Oh sure i'll take a look at that for a charge of 40 dollars, oh sorry thats a hardware issue I can't help you but thank you for your patronage? Its already hard enough gaining peoples trust thats why i got the cute logo, floating reviews, and the 100% trusted thing at the top right (I threw that together in photoshop its not a provided logo by webutation or anything).

Oh and don't try to nationally rank up for any keyword/phrases that brings up local results as that is the most pointless endeavor a person can do.

Just need another one of those FBI viruses to come out again lol. What was that like back in 2011 or maybe 2012. I remember in the summertime that was like more than half of my work was just related to that one. I kinda miss those lol.

We have committed to the idea. We are doing a completely separate company independent of our brick and mortar shop. I just agreed to a $499 logo competition on 99designs.com. The next step is to hire someone to do the website. This is the most excited I have been in a while. I know we can do things better than the competition and we will get a piece of the pie. On a side note, I think the show "the Profit" has inspired me a bit to do something out of my comfort zone.

Currently we have a pretty good system using quickbooks and google docs, but I want to do this company with a tighter more automated system from the beginning. For remote only, I am not thinking a program like repairshop is needed. I am open to suggestions.

I would still go with RepairShopr.

I wish you the best of luck.

I use WHMCS with the project management addon, probably not the best way but certainly one of the best price wise. You can sometimes get a discount on whmcs monthly price with certain hosts. Knownhost (VPS host) for example offers whmcs for 5 dollars a month.

thank you! Things are coming along slow. Lots of little things to do. How much do you pay per minute for your 800 number?

I'm using https://www.voipo.com/cloudnumbers.php , 2.5c a minute, 100 free minutes per month, 36 dollars a year. I just have it forwarded to an ooma office number. If you're wondering why I use ooma office its to get rid of all those annoying telemarketers as its extremely rare for any of them to push an option to reach me (edit: I mean push an option on the IVR that ooma office provides).

Edit: if you sign up for voipo make sure you white list billing@voipo.com ...probably best to just white list the whole domain. they will not hesitate to suspend your service without calling you (and at the time I had an email provider that had sender verify call outs enabled which they failed so it was marked as spam and I didn't realize I forgot to update an expired CC).
