I'm in the middle of upgrading a clients hard drive to a SSD. Does anyone know of a tool which will optimise the Windows 7 installation.

I normally do it by hand buy looking for an easy option.

Optimize? If you are wanting to image the drive I like aomei backupper. Just drop the image onto an external and back onto the ssd. There are some guides on how to optimize ssds in Windows 7, but I've successfully cloned using that method. I think even their free version is free for business use.

Aomei Backupper will align the partition for an SSD (for best performance) when you are restoring the image if you ask it to - it's a check box during the restore process, I think.

He's right I do remember seeing that checkbox. Don't know. You may have to have the paid version for that though, but I remember seeing the button.
