What are your thoughts on square business cards?

When I was first handed one (last week) I immediately thought it was genius.

For guys, my first thought was that if someone handed me that business card it wouldn't fit in my usual "business card slot" in my wallet, so I'd have to put it in my pocket or in the part of my wallet where I keep the cash. This would make the card pop up more often (every time I pull out cash, or whenever I clean out the receipts out of my wallet).

Again, what are your thoughts? Good? Bad?

I'd be open to the idea. When I was first handed a business card with rounded corners it stood out and now all of my cards have rounded corners. The best way to stand out is to be different and if you liked the look or uniqueness of the square cards then I would imagine others would as well.

Start with 100 of them and see how it goes because you never know unless you try.

Not for me. If anyone handed me one and it didn't go in my wallet it would go in the bin. :D

If I kept every business card someone handed my in my wallet, I'd have a fat wallet. There are only two cards that will ever be stored there. The first is my attorney's and the second is my bail bondsman. The rest go in the desk drawer with the others.

When I take a business card I'm usually out somewhere so it will go in my wallet until I get home. If it doesn't fit I doubt I would keep it, a card isn't for folding. Any card I get gives me a rough idea of what and who I'm dealing with :) If they are clueless enough to give me a card that doesn't fit in virtually every holder out there then it's there loss. Rounded corners are fine.

What about a business card sized brochure? A 3-4 page mini brochure, where the front page looks like a regular business card. Then you open it up and there's information on your products and services. Maybe the last page even has a coupon that can be torn out.

Just a thought. I never seen anything like this and I was toying with the idea of having some custom made.

MY wife bought me two card holder wallets and I put all the cards I receive in there, if they do not fit they usually go on a shelf where my daughter takes them and plays with them.

So far I have not had any cards that don't fit the wallet so the card she plays with are either businesses who were just handing out cars to everyone without taking the time to explain their business or duplicates.

If it doesn't fit in my business car holder then out it goes!

Also if its too thick (ie as in a mini brochure as mentioned above) and my business card holder is full guess which car gets chucked out first?
