Does anyone know a good spam filtering service for a Scottish charity. Google don't recognise Scottish charities so can'r get Google apps for nonprofits.

They are getting a lot of spam and have asked if I can help. I have spam solutions that are for businesses but want to see if I can get it cheaper for them as they help out kids.

Untangle's charity discount is not really affordable as the size they are they can get the full commercial license for the same price as their charity one.

That might be my option but according to their website they don't do wifi, which is a pain
Not sure what you mean. You can just take the existing network, turn off DHCP, put the Untangle box, with DHCP on, between that and the ISP connection. Maybe I missed something but I've never read anything about Untangle blocking wifi traffic.

It doesn't block wifi, they just don't support wifi on their boxes.

Here the wifi is integrated into the router so putting an untangled box in would mean they still get spam to any of their mobile devices while at work.

I am meeting them on Tuesday to discuss getting a server so all their computers will be wired but I know if they still get the spam through their phone they will complain.

Ahh... I see, using ISP provided modem/router. You would need to set the router to bridge mode w/ DHCP off, send the public IP to the Untangle box. Then get a cheap AP and hook it up to switch that the Untangle box is hooked up to.

Untangle supports a "bridge mode" where it becomes a transparent proxy, mocking the gateway (through some black magic it does).

However I'd prefer running it as your actual gateway.

I wouldn't let this stop you, bridge the ISP gateway, stick Untangle in there, and hang an access point off of it. Likely able to find one for really cheap, or have some old wireless router laying around in your boneyard you can toss them for your own donation.
