Have a Spanish bought laptop here that is now being used in UK, user still has Spanish keyboard though so having fun with that one.
Keyboard settings have been changed to US.
I have then proceeded to change locale settings to UK.
So after I removed AVG windows update now appears with no text whatsoever, or when I click to change windows update settings that doesn't appear to work either.
I have tried D7s windows update fix and I have tried MS Fixit tool and that didn't work.
If I go to services I can start and stop the wuauserv service but it has no description (instead shows me error code 15100) and I cannot enter properties as it gives me 2 error messages
1 - configuration manager: A general error occurred
2 - The resource loader failed to find the MUI file
So if I go to system32 I have several language folders in here
en
en-us
es
es-es
both es-es and en-us appear to have the wuauserv mui file in them.
I assume windows is trying to look in the wrong place, the actuall dll file is stored directly in the system32 folder.
Have been stuck on this one for a while now so though I would turn to you guys.
