Sony Dim Screen

Appreciate the advice dude, thanks man.

I've asked a few people today, and nobody knows what to say.

I'm going to go with your idea.

When it's picked up, should I even mention it, if the problem doesn't present?
Or should I preempt the inevitable? Maybe it's not inevitable if they always use the laptop on the mains.

Again, I don't know for sure. I'd go with telling them because it's more ethical and I'd rather not have it come back at me down the road. Look at it this way. If they already know about it then you can't be blamed. If they don't know and only use mains it's not a problem, if they don't know and use it on battery then they broke it on the way over to you. You have 2 out 3 good outcomes there. Tell about the laptop as a fact, though. No questions. Just a statement. It's very hard for them to question a statement.

Good luck

I would ask "How long has it been (describe problem) while running on batteries?" And then, regardless of the answer, reassure the client that there doesn't seem to be a problem while on main power. If he always runs off of main power, say something to the effect that that's probably why he never noticed a problem.

Sweet Jebus NYJimbo, I've been using computers and Google since Christ was a boy. Thanks for the helpful advice! :D

I already Googled ialmrnt5 but didn't get any good hits.

Ok, great, but your post kinda looked like you were at a dead end and I didn't want to assume you went through all the thousands of possible results from google.
