Hi there!

I need a software that can help me put clients information on it , add when they brought their computers to get them fixed and what was the problem...etc.
at least a software that can let me add their information is good enough for me.
If there's a free software thats even better!

ive been looking around on the internet for something similar to what im looking for but so far nothing! I'm gonna buy the business kit from Technibble tomorrow hopefully but i need a software to also help me maintain clients information on a computer!

anyhow any other suggestions are really appreciated!

Thanks.

I use Microsoft Accounting Express, It is free and is very awesome! Works great for a small computer business and it also integrates with outlook business contact manager.

Looks like Microsoft has discontinued this product. Is this something that you think will require future upgrades?

Microsoft Office Accounting will no longer be distributed after November 16, 2009.
We would like to thank the many dedicated users and partners who have been enthusiastic supporters of Office Accounting over the years. For additional information about Office Accounting read the FAQ.
Visit these Microsoft Small business sites for more resources:
* Microsoft Small Business
* Microsoft Dynamics

Quickbooks also offers a free version of their SBA software, but it's got some limitations: http://quickbooks.intuit.com/product/accounting-software/free-accounting-software.jsp

They discontinued it but I will use it as long as I can! I love it!

I just discovered MS Dynamics GP...I'm still a little unclear which versions of Dynamics would suit a small business, but it sounds like GP is an entry-level app. I'm guessing this is the replacement for Accounting Express. Will know for sure once it finishes downloading.

Let us know what it is like!

Well, it took 2 days to download (slow DSL here) but I installed it and fired it up. Requires SQL server to be installed, which I really don't want to mess with. I'm going to say Dynamics GP is definitely enterprise-level accounting and management software. Much more than I need.

Are you planning on tracking inventory or system builds? If so, you may want to think about a Point of Sale solution that handles service orders and "kitting" or "assemblies". It can be a royal pain to transfer your customer info and history into a new application down the road. I had to do it a little over a year ago when I decided to move from home to storefront.

I use Quickbooks for accounting, but all of my customer info (invoices, repair orders, sales, AR, etc) and inventory is kept in my POS system. All that I transfer to Quickbooks is total amounts for each account.

Downloading Quickbooks Simple Start Free edition now. Should be good to start with, then I can upgrade to the paid version when I need it. Got my tax permit yesterday, and my first job today. Already starting to order equipment and such, so I definitely need to get everything organized before it piles up.

I'm not going to carry any inventory at this point in time. It's a startup, so there's no telling how things will look down the road.

Hi,

You can use TioLive to maintain your client informations. Each one can be saved with details and can be linked to an organization. Then, you can operate marketing campaigns or just send emails (through the CRM module). Actually, you can track each contact you have.
You can even do your accounting and many operations thanks to the other modules. Try and see.

PS: By the way, TioLive is an online and a free solution

Thanks for all the replies guys i really appreciate it , sorry ive been really busy and i didnt think my business is gonna work out but i got it back on track!

tiolive looks promising , just an FYI for people that might try it , they require a proof that your business exists or a proof of a picture ID . im about to email them a photocopy in a little bit to try out there free software .

as for Microsoft Accounting Express , i just downloaded it from a website and i registered my info and activated it in less than 10 minutes and its working flawlessly .
