I remember seeing Socket L boards a few years ago and I was wondering what happened to that design.

I think it was an nVidia-based Socket F derivative platform that never quite took off. But stuff that far back is sort of fuzzy, so I dunno. A quick Google search doesn't pull much up at all...

Yeah I tried searching and couldn't find much other than discontinued boards. I just remember thinking how awesome it would have been to use one of the dual-Socket L boards for a computer build.
