So are Linksys Velop's mesh wireless just garbage or what?

I've installed two Linksys Velop mesh networks at clients homes and both exhibited the same issue where the primary access point/router stays online and the satellite points intermittently and frequently disconnect, then after some time they will reconnect on their own.

I bought these: https://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Tri-band-Intelligent-Maximize-devices/dp/B01N2NLNEH

Mainly because others were out of stock of what I normally buy (Google WiFi) everywhere, I'm assuming because everyone wanted to beef up their home WiFi.

One install was at a 3000 sq/f home with AP's in 3 corners of the home. The other install was in a 2000 sq/f home with AP's in again 3 corners of the home. Both exhibit the same issues. Main AP stays solid, the other two go purple, then red, then after some time, back to blue. Testing in the Linksys app shows excellent connectivity between the AP's.

Both installs were basically stock setups, no tweaking done (typically don't have to tweak anything on a Google WiFi mesh).

I had the client who I last did the install for just unplug the two satellites and work of the main Velop AP until I could get my stock of Google WiFi's (which I normally use) back in stock Monday, after which I will need to go out and do the whole thing over again on my time/dollar. I haven't heard back so I'm assuming she's at least online.

Now I might be out the $299 (on sale) for two of these systems that now need to be pulled since I bought them over 30 days ago locally.

I personally use Google WiFi at home and I've installed several Google WiFi mesh setups and they are always quick and easy to setup and haven't experienced this type of issue. I also recently had a client supply an Orbi 3-pack that installed fine and I haven't heard of any issues from their end.

Is it possible it's just ... too much WiFi considering the 3-pack accommodates a 6000 sq/f home?

Crazy how these things say everything is working great! Then immediately start disconnecting after I walk out the door.

Side point, one of these AP's was DOA out of the box so I had to poach one from another box.
