I am just starting out doing my own computer repair business. So I am trying to keep things on the cheap. I was looking to use SkyFex for my remote assistance. Its free and very simple for the end user. Has anyone else used it? If so what are your thoughts?

Thanks for the help and the great forum.

i just tried it, sessions are limited to 30 minutes and you can only control the remote computer for 5. Hope you're a fast worker. It is also really slow to update the screen.

for free, look into uVNC Single Click or PCHelpWare

That doesn't seem like Skyfex will be very helpful then.

Thanks for the other recommendations. I'll give them a try, I was looking for something that will be easy for them and cheap for me. Maybe one of these will do the trick.

Im surprised you guys didnt say logmein. Its free and fantastic. I prefer to start with crossloop then install logmeinfree its the best and you can restart in safe mode.
BTW its at logmein.com

Logmein and Teamviewer, along with so many others have been discussed at different times in other threads, probably just a matter of time before someone mentioned it. ;)

Yeah, I would say they're pretty much ubiquitous. (I love that word)

I could be wrong but isn't logmein free for personal use only? Same goes with the Teamviewer free version.
