Site Makeover!

Hey guys, I just recently launched my new site and wanted to know what you think. Personal opinions are fine. Let me know what you think about the overall feel, look, design, content etc.

In the near future I plan on adding a pricing page. I was initially hesitant about doing this but I see quite a few of the members here advertise their prices plus my local competition also does the same. Still thinking if it makes sense....

I'm also in the process of settling on a remote control product that will have a client connect button/link.


Anything else I am possibly forgetting?

Looks good. I like the logo and the metal texture a lot. Just a few things:

-on the home page there's a large see-through box with nothing in it. I'm assuming you're putting something there?

-when you change the page the background disappears and reappears. I don't know what CMS your using but most have an option to save these things between page loads.

-when you mouse over the navigation links on top, it takes a second for the hover image to load. Consider pre-loading the hover images. There are a few ways to do this. Here is the one I use.

-The four large sections on the main page that list different services (home, business, laptop, etc) have a little tiny "read more" at the bottom right. I would make the whole thing clickable. You could even pre-load a hover image using the method above.

Thanks for the comments. I was wondering if you could tell me what browser you're using?
I was unable to duplicate any of the issues using chrome, IE and FF.
I do think it would be a good idea to make the four large sections clickable. Will work on that soon.

Thank you. I just did a complete overhaul this morning and was about to ask for a review.

The invisible box was in FF3. It worked fine with IE8. I've been having some weird issues with my FF lately so if it works in yours I wouldn't worry about it. But the background re-loading is happening in IE8 as well. It only happens once and every new page after that is OK. Not too big of a deal really.

Looks good, but I have to agree with Delvec, the logo is hard to read. It's the colours I think, size wise it seems very good

Looks good (logo colors need tweaking to get the contrast right....).

The text (About section, in particular) might be a little colloquial for my taste, but it works. (Your tone is as if you are actually talking to the person irl)

Oh definitely the colors. Maybe if the shadow/outer glow is darker. It just shouldnt be the same color as the "other than TECH" letters.Or make the entire text the blue?

Thanks everyone for your input. So far the general consensus is that the logo text needs to either be darker, more contrast etc. Generally hard to read.

I will see about making the change.
