A little update to this saga.
2 weeks ago, I was admitted again, (day case this time), where they removed the original stent, replaced it with a flexible stent. Whilst I was under the GA, they lasered the stones on my right kidney.
They didnt have time to touch the one on my left.
Anyhow, yesterday I get a call off the hospital, can I go in today for the stent to be removed.
This time, I would be wide awake, and it would be done under a local. YEOUCH!.
So I build myself up for it. The wife is literally p'ing herself with laughter and winding me up chronic.
I get to the hospital this afternoon, told to undress, and have these 2 gowns on. one going front wards, one going back; to hide my ahem modesty.
The nurse who was dealing with me, is only a bloody client of mine!. YIKES.
So waiting in this cubicle, client / nurse dropping in every few mins to see if im ok.
I'm thinking, I hope when the time comes (in pc terms).
A) It's not a Floppy Drive.
B) It's not a Solid State Drive.
C) It's a traditional spinning type.. Only I'm not going to say what size drive it was/is lol.
Especially with my client being at the other end of the table so to speak lol. (Yes she is a nice looking nurse too :-D ).
Anyhow, Doc comes into me, says he's had a look at the xray I just had.
Most of the larger stones in my right, have broken up, and I have passed them. But there is still one stone in my right, which is a big one.
One in my left, again a big one. They aren't going to remove the stent today.
Leave it for a couple of weeks, see if the stone has moved. If it has, they will remove it, together with the stent.
If it hasn't, then they will have me in again for another GA, and a go at lasering it, together with the one on the left.
Hey ho.. Cest La Vie.
